AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition

Membership

The Coalition has the following three membership categories:

Member Organizations

Member Organizations (Members) are scientific associations, professional societies, academies, and other formal networks of scientists, engineers and health professionals. Members assign two representatives to both participate actively in at least one committee or working group and represent their organization on the Coalition Council. The two representatives may be members of the organization's leadership, membership, and/or staff.

Affiliated Organizations

Affiliated Organizations are scientific associations, professional societies, academies, and other formal networks of scientists, engineers and health professionals, but which have yet to determine whether they want to join the Coalition as Members. Affiliated organizations assign one representative to participate actively in at least one committee or working group. Affiliated organizations are not represented on the Coalition Council.  

Affiliated Individuals

Affiliated Individuals are individual scientists, engineers or health professionals who support the Coalition's objectives and/or want to explore the relevance of human rights to their scientific disciplines. Affiliated Individuals are encouraged to participate in Coalition committees and/or working groups.
