Chapter 2: Guatemala- General Information
The Republic of Guatemala is located between the 13º24’ and 92º14’ parallels, west of the Greenwich meridian. It is located at the far north of Central America, bordering with Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the south, and the Caribbean Sea and the Republics of Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador to the east. The territory of the country is 108,880 square kilometers, divided into twenty-two departments.
