Types of Violations Examined in This Study

In light of the above, but drawing from the results of its field work, CIIDH proposes to organize its analysis of political violence in Guatemala in this report based on the following six types of violations:

1. Individual murders

2. Multiple murders (massacres)

3. Discovery of one or more bodies

4. Kidnapping

5. Forced Disappearance

6. Torture
