| Description: | The Academy for Educational Development (AED), founded in 1961, is an independent, nonprofit service organization committed to solving critical social problems in the U.S. and throughout the world through education, social marketing, research, training, policy analysis and innovative program design and management. Drawing on its experience in education and health, AED is working with many partners to change environmental behaviors and move from awareness to positive action. We are also active in the energy sector. We use our experience with education systems and social marketing to develop ways to reach children and youth, as well as their parents and other adults, and to influence policy dialogue.
