| Description: | The Green Belt Movement (GBM) is a grassroot Non-Governmental Organization based in Kenya that focuses on environmental conservation and community development. Until it underwent restructuring the core programme of GBM was its tree planting project (or campaign). Through this project, members of civil society were encouraged to develop an appreciatioon for the environment and also actively care for it through tree planting - on both private and public lands. |
