AMERICAN WATERWORKS ASSOCIATION

Description:The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an international nonprofit scientific and educational society dedicated to the improvement of drinking water quality and supply. AWWA is the authoritative resource for knowledge, information, and advocacy to improve the quality and supply of drinking water in North America and beyond. AWWA is the largest organization of water professionals in the world. AWWA advances public health, safety and welfare by uniting the efforts of the full spectrum of the drinking water community. By providing scientific and technical information to legislators and regulatory officials on all aspects of water policy, AWWA's Water Utility Council, Public Affairs Council, and Government Affairs Office represent the interests of all public water suppliers and their customers. The Association continually disseminates late-breaking updates on regulatory and legislative issues to all those involved in formulating drinking water policies.
