ENVIRONMENT LIAISON CENTER INTERNATIONAL (ELCI)
| Description: | Environment Liaison Centre International (ELCI) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organisation, established in 1974, with the aim of strengthening communication and co-operation between non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society, providing liaison between NGOs and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), building the capacities of environmental NGOs in developing countries, and encouraging the advisory role of NGOs through the international environmental conventions and organs of the United Nations.
Environment Liaison Centre International also produces the magazine Ecoforum; an environmental based magazine which deals with many aspects concerning the universal habitat, the way we use it, take care of it, and some of the threats that are facing the environment today. |
