AAAS Science and Human Rights Program

Science and Human Rights Coalition

Coalition Resources

  • Website
One of the needs identified by those participating in the 2005 meeting was to facilitate exchange of information among the societies. This website is intended to be a meeting place where scientists, scientific societies, and NGOs can come together to exchange information and begin working together more effectively. As we build the various sections of the website, we will be linking them to this page. We will be looking to Coalition members to populate the lists of resources available at this site.

  • Directory of Scientific Societies working on Human Rights issues
Profiles and contact information of Scientific Societies working on human rights. Also features links to resources for Scientific Society action
    .
  • Science and Human Rights Coalition Listserv
The Science and Human Rights Coalition listserv provides news and announcements about events, publications, and other activities related to the work of the Coalition. All messages posted to this listserv must be approved by the moderator.

  • Science and Human Rights Education
Information materials will be developed, including a guide to "what scientists and human rights practitioners need to know about each other" to improve communication and collaboration between the two communities.

  • Resources for Scientific Society Action on Human Rights
A compilation of links to assist scientific societies in their human rights activities.
