- Committee for Concerned
Scientists: The Committee of Concerned Scientists is an independent organization
of scientists, physicians and engineers dedicated to the protection and advancement
of the human rights and scientific freedom of colleagues throughout the world.
- Scholars at Risk
Network: Scholars at Risk is an international network of universities
and colleges that promotes academic freedom and defends the human rights of
scholars and their communities worldwide.
- The Social Research Endangered
Scholars Worldwide Project publishes the names of endangered and imprisoned
scholars around the globe, providing sources of further information about
their cases and urging readers to send letters on their behalf to responsible
officials (sample letters and contact addresses are provided).

Visas:
- International
Visitors Office (IVO) of the National Academies of Science. The site provides
useful information related to visas, including an online questionnaire used
to collect information on scientific mobility and the free flow of scientists,
statistics on visas, and a section dedicated to answering questions for those
organizing international meetings in the United States.
