Human Rights and Health: The Legacy of Apartheid
Printed in 1998 at the request of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, this report shows how, during the apartheid period, the leadership of the health sector in South Africa subordinated ethical and human rights obligations to the racist practices and political repression of the state.

Apartheid Medicine: Health and Human Rights in South Africa
Prepared  in 1989 by a AAAS medical mission of inquiry, this book examines how legal structures and the culture of apartheid denied the majority of South Africans decent health care and contributed to human rights violations in the health care sector.
